Once you have developed a pedagogy for Web-based instruction, you are ready to master the skills and strategies necessary to facilitate online learning. This CoP examines both online instruction and online coursework in conjunction with face-to-face classroom instruction. It is intended for teachers working with colleagues and/or students online.

Teaching and Leading in a Virtual Classroom provides the tools and skills necessary to deliver instruction in a web-based environment. You will consider different kinds of online environments, asynchronous and synchronous forms of communication, approaches to online collaboration, assessment of student participation and projects, and more. Based in the Blackboard learning environment, you will learn how to manage all the course facilitation tools Blackboard has to offer.
