Abraham Lincoln's Death

The murder of Abraham Lincoln was committed by John Wilkes Booth, who was born in May 10. 1838. He was one of 10 siblings and born number 9. His parents were both British and moved to the U.S.A. in the year 1821.

The Booth family owned many slaves. Booth's father Junius Booth was one of the most-known actors on the American stage and he had problems with alcohol and insanity. John Booth became a young know-nothing in politics and the Know-Nothing Party was created by American naturists. These naturists wished to keep the country for native-born crusation citizens.

Soon after, Booth left school after his father's passing in the year 1852. Booth spent several years working in a farm near Bel Air. On the other hand, his sibling, a female stated that his goals in life went farther than having an occupation in a farm. "I must have fame!" he cried out many times. His dream was to be like his father and be an actor.

John's debut was made upon stage when he was currently 17-years-old. His debut was as the Earl of Richmond in Shakespeare's Richard III. Then, in the year of 1857 John played stock in the state of Philadelphia and he couldn't remember any of his lines. John's physical appearance was 5-8, dark raven hair and pure ivory skin. He was also athletic and lean and many entitled him, "the most handsomest man in America."

Later on in the year of 1859, John had plenty of eyewitnesses of the execution of an abolitionist called John Brown. Booth tried to save Brown from hanging but however, all his attempts were futile. In the year of 1860, Booth's career as an actor went whoa! He was gaining $20,000 per year. This played the role of Duke Pescara in The Apostate at Gayety Theatre in the state of New York, President-elect Abraham Lincoln passed through on his journey to Washington.

Going on, in the life of Booth in the play, "The Marble Heart," at Ford's Theater on the date of November the 6th in the year of 1863 the Lincoln's were escorted to the play.

In the year of 1862, John Wilkes Booth was arrested and taken to a provost marshall. This occurred in St. Louis and it happened because Booth was making antigovernment remarks. Two years later, in the year of 1864 Booth constantly took refuge at the Molley House station in Meadville, Pennsylvania. In a room of this house the words, "Abe Lincoln departed this capital, This life August 13th, 1864 by the effects of poison" are imprinted. Still to today, no one knows who scratched this...

Now that you know who John Booth Wilkes is its time to say that he killed Abraham Lincoln. Booth apparently made devious plans to kidnap Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln would be captured, taken to Richmond and stuck in an exchange for confederate soldiers in the Union prison camps. Along with Booth, fellow conspirators were Michael O'Laughten, Samuel Arnold, Lewis Powell (Paite), John Surrat, David Herold and George Atzerodt. All the men stated above participated in Lincoln's abduction.

All these fellows planned to kidnap when Lincoln saw a play. This play was "Still Waters Running Deep." This was located at the Campbell Hospital outside of Washington on the following date of March 17, 1865. But, at the last moment Booth found out that Lincoln wasn't to attend. After this disappointment, some of Booth's helpers backed off.

To go on, Abraham Lincoln's ending speech was on April 11, 1865. The speech was located and stated in the White House. The speech stated new rights for African Americans and Booth just became steaming with rage! Three days afterwards, John Wilkes Booth learned of President Abraham Lincoln's plans to go to "Our American Cousin" an evening show.

After Lincoln's assassination, his body left in a funeral train on April 21, 1865. Lincoln's remnants were taken on the Lincoln Special by a Guard of Honor. The end of this trip happened on May 4, 1865 which was a Thursday. He is buried in Springfield, Illinois.
