George Washington

Presidency

When George was a  young boy he had many battles with his permanent teeth and baby teeth. George did not know what to do every time his tooth started to hurt but tried very hard to do everything he could do. Every time he saw somebody he looked at their teeth. I think he probably thought to himself they don't have wooden teeth like me. George kept on losing his permanent teeth. He called the dentist when he only had one tooth left. The dentist gave him false teeth. The false teeth made his last tooth fall out and he said I'm toothless. He decided to round up all his lost teeth in his first year of his presidency. When he had all his teeth in his hand he said he was going to use his real teeth to make a new set of false teeth. That was the end of his tooth problem. But he still had another problem. When he smiled or laughed his mouth was bulgy.

The US Constitution was written in 1787.  George was president the years of 1789 - 1797  George Washington was president two times. He was also the first president. Georges vice president was John Addams. George Washington was the only president to be voted unanimously. He was also the only president to be inaugurated in two cities, New York and Philadelphia. Although he never lived in D.C. he was interested in the construction and bought property there. He was active between his cabinet members Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson. George Washington was a great president. He was a great person to have the job as president. George died two years after his second term. George Washington was a good man. He was never mean but always fair. He always said  "I will not tell a lie." That's what he said to his father when he cut down the famous cherry tree. He was the leader of many wars. He died at the age 67, in 1799.
