My nomination is incredibly weak for all that Carolyn does and has done.  Just one quick example, when the ERIC Clearinghouse for Disabilities and Gifted Education (ERICEC) was disbanded by the US Government as of December 19, 2003, and all of those gifted education pages that the government had been supporting were about to disappear, she saved them & they are archived & available online because of her.

Sometimes the woman & her Pages are intermixed - [She / her page] won the 2006 Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Children (PAGE) Neuber-Pregler Award for Outstanding Advocacy Efforts to Assure Quality Education for the Gifted and the  2005National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) Community Service Award.

I admire her work in educating parents and educators and gifted children by opening eyes she has saved many.
