While the Iditarod has had grassroots support from teachers around the world, Diane's efforts to develop an arsenal of educationally appropriate, high-quality curriculum connections to the race have taken the race to the next level for interested educators everywhere. She has worked to harness the power of the Internet to showcase the merits of a centuries-old Inuit tradition, demonstrating once again how technology is only as effective as the human connection it makes for its end-users.
