As classes prepare to follow the Iditarod Sled Dog Race this year, why not consider joining the project? We would love to have you join us!

Please note that the project provides you with structure and support for planning each month, including teaching ideas, virtual resources and activities, arts and crafts projects, and opportunities to share with and learn from other participating teachers. You always have the ability to participate as fully or as selectively as you wish. You make the project what you want it to be for you and your students! See examples of three levels of involvement here.

Participating classes will

• learn the history and geography of the trail

• understand the dog breeds and dog care

• study the musher biographies

• create a wall-sized map of the trail

• select a musher to follow in this year's race

• track the selected musher's progress as the race occurs

• arrive in Nome vicariously with your selected musher

• receive an official 2022 eIditarod class digital badge for completion of the trail!
