Create Your Own Online Project is a hands-on, five week CoP which utilizes popular project formats and the affordances of the World Wide Web to deliver a professional development opportunity to develop your own original project, ready to implement in the classroom.
The CoP is built to foster a community of online learners in which each student contributes his or her professional expertise and experience to help build new understandings. Emphasis is on CoP content and the final project.
There is no required text for this CoP; all materials are web-based. Each week students will complete course readings and complete assignments which build towards a course project: a ready-to-use project which is built upon the curriculum you teach.
Upon successful completionof Building Bridges, each participant will receive a certificate for 40 seat hours of work suitable for professional develop credit with your school district.
